He reflects on an important visit by education inspectors and talks about the school's progress, its transparent operations, and the strong collaboration with Safi VZW that makes all this possible.

Since the original post was written in English, we'd also like to share the Dutch translation below so everyone can enjoy this special moment.

Building a sustainable future through education, partnership and legacy 🌱

Today, our school had the honor of hosting government education inspectors for the annual data collection and analysis. They evaluated, among other things, the number of teachers, the sanitary facilities, the teacher pay structure, the school fees per trimester, and any additional contributions. I explained that, in addition to the school fees, there are also inter-house and independent contributions, which are used responsibly for school activities such as transportation, food, and beverages—each contribution is fully reinvested in the school's operations.

The inspectors were very impressed with our transparency, organization, and progress. I told them about our strong collaboration with our Belgian partner organizations and highlighted the results we've achieved together. I also shared our ambition to become fully self-sufficient and introduced our shopping complex, which visibly surprised them.

We also discussed our upcoming Eco-San toilet project, which we hope to launch soon in collaboration with four Belgian university students. These students will stay on the school grounds for eight weeks, supervised by the school, as part of their final project at the university. The visitors were very impressed with this initiative and emphasized that we must keep them informed so they can monitor progress.

To their further surprise, I told them that the Ministry of Health, UNICEF Gambia, the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs, and the Gambian Ambassador in Brussels are all aware of our work and support it.

Above all, this entire journey is built on the great sacrifice and vision of my late father, whose dedication laid the foundation for everything we continue to build today. His legacy remains a guiding light in our commitment to sustainable development and quality education.
